Jakarta has signed three different contracts allowing the exploration and development of coal bed methane (CBM) resources in the country which amounts to $17.05 million in value for the first three years. The Indonesian government secured the commitments of three local energy companies after conducting an open tender which also earned the government $5 million in signature bonus.
